XXIII Guitar Art Festival

Guitar Art Festival will be held from May 17th to 21st in Belgrade under the slogan "Ethno"

Ethno refers to the original and authentic music of the whole world, which performers from 20 different countries of the world will present in its contemporary form. This year's Festival brought together Spanish flamenco, Portuguese fado, Greek bouzouki, Argentine tango, Russian balalaika and Balkan ethno.

Guitar Art Festival is one of the most important cultural events in Serbia and an internationally recognized festival that bears the title of one of the 5 most important festivals of guitar art music in the world. The greatest guitarists and musicians of the world have contributed to this status of the Festival, and among them are Paco de Lucia, Sting, Ennio Morricone, Mariza, Tommy Emmanuel, Luz Casal, Rosenberg Trio and many others.

The Festival opens on May 17^th with internationally acclaimed Greek singer George Dalaras who will perform at Kombank Hall.
As part of the tango concert evening will also be Milonga, which will bring performance Hungarian Tango Harmony ensemble and an exclusive performance of dance couple from Italy, Gianpiero Galdi & Lorena Tarantino.

Tango Harmony Budapest orchestra
The predecessor of the orchestra was founded in 1998 with the leadership of Katalin Bartha. Enchanted by the music of Argentinean Astor Piazzolla the orchestra began to build their repertoire. Therefore Tango Harmony has been invited to play at several concerts and shows. They play Piazzolla’s music as well as traditional tangos, valses, milongas and music composed by the group’s pianist György Lázár.

György Lázár (hun) - piano, vocal, harmonica

Ottó Nagy (hun) - violoncello, viola da gamba

Gábor Piukovics (hun) - doublebass

Tango Harmony orchestra performs at festivals, in theatres, at business programs with customised concerts or tango shows and welcomes invitations within and outside Europe.

Since 2002 they have been playing music for evening events and shows. Performances include locations such as the National Dance Theatre of Hungary and the milongas of International Tango Festival Danubiando.

Tango Harmony organizes tango salons with the performances of well known Argentinean and foreign masters: Juan Martin Carrara & Stefania Colina, Cristhian Sosa & Sabrina Garcia, Alejandro Beron & Verónica Vázquez, Özgür Demir & Marina Marques and of course the best Hungarian artists. The series of tango salons are to be continued.

Repertoire
The repertoire of Tango Harmony consists of more than 70 pieces of music. Most of them are music from composer Astor Piazzolla in addition to the best traditional tango adaptations, followed by the compositions of György Lázár, and a unique selection of traditional European and Hungarian tangos.
